While it’s understandable wanting to get it done before the main heat of the day requiring A/C, an outage lasting as long as eight hours – that’s 6AM to 2PM by the way, and getting pretty warm by then, including refrigerators/food – should have been scheduled during the cooler night hours of, say, starting between 10PM and 2AM, until completed. All agencies have ample portable lighting available for night work.

An outage lasting up to 8 hrs should be done during night hours. This causes a major hardship for all residents, especially the elderly. Few to none residential homes have back up generators. Please rethink the effects of this outage and reschedule for overnight hours. Thank you.

Thank you, Jane. I doubt the town manager reads this publication but heard on the local news today that a contact number for feedback is available at the town offices. Sorry I didn’t hear it all but it’s likely the same as the town’s or the town manager’s to call and find out.
