Rebecca L. “Becky” Deen, age 67

Rebecca L. “Becky” Deen, age 67, of Augusta, Indiana, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2013 at home with her family by her side.

She was born October 15, 1946 in Oakland City, Indiana to Ira Harrell and Bessie A. (Dyson) Barrett.

She married James “Rooster” Deen on November 17, 2000 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Becky worked as a retail sales clerk and housekeeper. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls; and enjoyed fishing and four-wheeling.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, James “Rooster” Deen of Augusta, Ind.; two sons, Troy Smith of Winslow, and Cory Smith of Haubstadt; one brother, Ira Harrell “Sonny” Barrett, Jr. of Spurgeon, Ind.; two sisters, Daisy A. Garrison of Spurgeon, Ind., and Linda R. Atkins of Birdseye; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Becky Deen will be held at 11:00 a.m., EST, on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Augusta Cemetery in Augusta, Indiana.
