Robert D. “Bob” Harris, 84

Robert D. “Bob” Harris, age 84, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2013 at The Waters of Huntingburg.

He was born February 22, 1929 in Evansville, Indiana and was united in marriage to Wanda L. Jochim on November 27, 1948 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. Bob was a retired automobile salesman for the Ruxer Ford Dealership in Jasper. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg; a former member of the Y.M.I. Club; enjoyed camping; and was an avid gun and knife collector. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Wanda L. Harris, who died January 13, 2008.

He is survived by two daughters and two son-in-laws, Becky (spouse: Ron) Phillips of Huntingburg, IN, and Jenny (spouse: Hank) King of Huntingburg, IN; one son, Mike Harris of Huntingburg, IN; one half-sister, Quanna Woodford of Cadiz, KY; and by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Harris will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Huntingburg).

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday. A parish vigil service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.nassandson.com.
