Robert Herr, 92, Dale
Robert Herr, 92, of Dale, died on Sunday, Aug 20, 2017, at Memorial Hospital.
Bob was born on July 25, 1925, at home in Dale to Raymond and Elizabeth (Schum) Herr.
He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale, the Holy Name Society and he served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. He was a charter member of the American Legion in Dale.
He is survived by four children, Vicki (Jim) Schulthise, Doug (Cindy) Herr, Dan Herr and Mona (Larry) Gaesser; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Louella Ledin, Linda (Jerry) Breeding and William Eugene Herr.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Rose Herr in 1996; a sister, Charmaine Verkamp; and brother, Mike Schraner.
A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Friday, August 25, 2017, at 10 a.m. CDT at St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Joseph Church. With burial to follow in the Church Cemetery in Dale.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, 2017, starting with the rosary at 2:30 and continuing until 6 p.m. CDT at St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Joseph Church in Dale.
Fuller Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Bob, you were a great neighbor. Is it safe to make a confession now? It was me. I admit it. All of about a 7 year old me who put my handprints in your brand new cement sidewalk, when I fell, going to your house. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it.
