Sandra Kay “Sandy” Stuteville, 71, passed away Dec. 22, 2021 at Jasper Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Tell City Aug. 16, 1950, daughter of Ivan and Nellie (Riat) Flamion.
Sandy was a 1968 graduate of Perry Central High School. She had worked as a bank teller for Old National Bank and retired in 2012 from Branchville Correctional Facility, where she was a guard.
She was united in marriage June 4, 2015 to Mike Stuteville. Sandy was a faithful member of St. Isidore Catholic Church where she served as a eucharist minister, religious education teacher and cleaned the church and rectory.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Sandy had an abundance of friends and was loved by so many. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Mike Stuteville, Grandview; children Denise Cail (Brad) of Tell City, Wes Richard (Sarah) and Grant Richard, both of St. Croix; stepchildren, Michael C. Stuteville (Jamie) and Ryan K. Stuteville, both of Wisconsin; her father, Ivan Flamion of Bristow; a brother Rick Flamion (Pat) of Holland; grandchildren, Trent and Lucas Cail, Tate, Troy and Carter Richard, Hunter and Jaxon Richard; step-grandchildren, Vivian and Bellamy Stuteville and Trent Stuteville.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Nellie (Riat) Flamion; son David Richard; her twin brother Sammy at birth and brother Randy at birth.
A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. CST Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Bristow. Rev. Luke Waugh will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
