Schipp awarded first Tonya Heim Scholarship

Cinda Schipp, RN, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center staff nurse was selected as the first recipient of the Tonya Heim Scholarship.

Schipp was presented with a check for $1,000 to assist with her educational expenses in her pursuit of her bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The Tonya Heim Scholarship was created to provide educational assistance and remove barriers for Memorial ASN and diploma nurses for degree advancement. The first priority is to provide assistance for BSN attainment, but assistance can also be provided for nurses pursuing a master’s degree, advanced practice degree, or doctorate degrees in nursing.
