SERVUS! announces sale of Grandy’s restaurants, closure of Jasper location
SERVUS! announced the sale of its Grandy’s division. This sale will be effective November 4th with the Grandy’s operations in Evansville, Indiana; Henderson, Kentucky, and Owensboro, Kentucky being sold to the Nashville, Tennessee-based parent franchisor Grandy’s, LLC.
“Since 1981, we have had a great working relationship with Grandy’s, LLC. and look forward to their continued success,” said Al Ruckriegel, a SERVUS! partner. “At SERVUS, we appreciate the community’s love for the famous Grandy’s chicken and the support they’ve shown our company as we have brought quality food and dining experiences to our area.”
Grandy’s, LLC will be making employment offers to all members of the
Evansville, Henderson, and Owensboro Grandy’s teams.
The locations in Jasper, Indiana and Oakland City, Indiana will cease
operating as Grandy’s with future development plans for those two
locations under consideration at this time.
All management and team members of the Jasper Grandy’s and the
Oakland City Grandy’s will be offered employment at nearby SERVUS!
operated locations.
In a phone call today, Al Ruckriegel stated that Grandy’s LLC made SERVUS! a great offer on the locations SERVUS! operated and the Jasper company accepted the offer.
“We have plans for the Jasper location and will release information on that at a later time,” he said.
Time for a KFC!!
Chick Fil A, KFC, or Popeye’s would be great. Im really surprised they stayed open as long as they did. Time for something new in town.

This sucks…. this is the closest Grandys since the one in vincennes Indiana closed;(
Don’t like that…We always got good food and service at Jasper’s Grandy…What next???
Raising Cane’s or zaxby’s would be the best options.

Chick-fil-A, Popeye’s, KFC is good, too, but somehow don’t think it will be more chicken. So, go with Steak n Shake! Hey, SERVUS – listen to your consumers and “serve us” ! Heck, would really like to see a Golden Corral – great with specials for seniors and families, military, etc. but don’t think it’s big enough without enlarging (maybe?).

I am discussed seeing all the obese adults and thier children in the Golden Trought that I cannot go there. Steak n Shake is looking for franchise owners in southern Indiana right now! We need a nice place with sit down service that does not cost so much ! They offer great food, service, menu variety, senior discounts, kids menus, GREAT desserts and I bet you won’t find a Major Health Infraction from that restaurant like any old chicken place ! Lets vote Jasper !
