Sheriff’s Department: Fleming promoted to sergeant

The Dubois County Sheriffs Department announced Deputy C. Patrick Fleming was promoted to be the department’s newest sergeant.

Fleming is a 1987 graduate of Jasper High School and attended Vincennes University Jasper Center and Indiana State University.  Fleming joined the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department as a jail officer. He worked in that position for four and a half years before becoming a deputy. He just celebrated his 20th year as a deputy.

During his time as a deputy, he has served the department as an emergency response team operator, emergency response team leader and department field training officer as well as a Glock and Colt Armorer.  

He has been married to his wife Margaret (Lange) for 24 years and they have two daughters, Catie and Camille. 

Sergeant Fleming will be a patrol supervisor and is looking forward to continuing to serve everyone in Dubois County.
