Shirley Genevieve Bayer, 98, Evansville
Shirley Genevieve Bayer, 98, of Evansville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Home in Evansville.

Mrs. Bayer worked at the Arvin manufacturing plant in Princeton. She was a cook at the Outwood State Hospital in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and was part of the foster grandparent program at Dawson Springs School. She was a member of the Abundant Faith United Pentecostal Church in Evansville.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Edwin Joseph Bayer, who passed away in 1971; one son, James Dewayne Bayer; and two brothers, Garel Buford and Donald Buford.
She is survived by six children, Shirley M. (William) Ramsey of Dawson Springs, Ky., Eugene “Gene” (LaDonna) Bayer of Dawson Springs, Ky., Kay (Jim) Maroney of Evansville, Rev. David H. (Anga) Bayer of Evansville, Kathy J. (Jim) Moore of Newburgh and Mickey L. (Lisa) Bayer of Princeton, Ky.; by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Shirley Genevieve Bayer will be held at 12:00 p.m. EDT (11:00 a.m. CDT) on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Abundant Faith United Pentecostal Church in Evansville with burial to follow at the Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, Indiana. The funeral will be officiated by Pastor James Maroney, Bishop David Bayer and Pastor Jeremy Moore.
Friends may call for visitation at the Abundant Faith United Pentecostal Church from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. EDT (3:00 to 8:00 p.m. CDT) on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, and also at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
