StrassenVORfest – A Prep for the Fest event

The Jasper DeutscherVerein (Jasper German Club) will introduce a new community and family-friendly event, StrassenVORfest, on Sunday, July 14th, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Jasper. 

The StrassenVORfest, or Prep for the Fest event, will usher in the 2019 Strassenfest which will be held in Jasper on August 1 through August 4.

There will be German dancing lessons, singing, German-themed coloring for kids, and waltz and chicken dance lessons for everyone. Local 
businesses have donated items for a gift basket to be given away for 
those who register.

The Strassenfest wood cut-out will be available for those who wish to take pictures.

A free gift bag will be given to the first 200 families who register.  These gift bags will include German flags and coupons from local businesses.

Also attending will be representatives from the Jasper German Club, the 2019 Strassenfest Committee, and the Jasper Chamber of Commerce to share information on the Strassenfest. There will also be 2019 Strassenfest buttons and mugs for sale as well as various sizes of Strassenfest buntings, slightly used and new traditional German clothing items. Also available will be a variety of vintage Strassenfest souvenirs for sale.

Representatives from Ivy Manor, Green Thumb Nursery, and Jasper Flowers and Gifts will have flags and Strassenfest themed items for sale to get your home or business Strassenfest ready.

For those who sign up to be Jasper German Club members, your dues will be paid until January 1, 2020.  Dues are $20 for a couple and $10 for an individual.

The Jasper Moose Lodge will have items from their menu available for sale and Jasper Flowers and Gifts will have small bags of popcorn available for sale.
