Jasper police charged an Oaktown man with felony counts of dealing and possessing methamphetamine after a traffic stop Sunday night.
An officer stopped a 2002 Ford Focus at 10:59 p.m. at Second Street and U.S. 231 due to the car allegedly having an expired license plate. The plate also belonged to a different vehicle.
Police said the driver, Alan M. Kleysteuber, 21, had drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine in the vehicle. Additionally, his driver’s license was suspended.
Authorities charged Kleysteuber with felony counts of dealing methamphetamine and methamphetamine possession as well as a misdemeanor count of possession of paraphernalia. He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
