Tax statement explanation from the treasurer’s office

The Dubois County Treasurer’s Office released an explanation for the recent tax statements residents have received.There have been some questions regarding the new format of the tax statements.  Here is a brief explanation.

The “A” portion is for your spring installment and the treasurer’s office will keep this for their records. The “C” portion is the taxpayer’s receipt. The treasurer’s office will stamp the left side for the spring payment and the right side for the fall payment. The “B” portion is for your fall installment and the treasurer’s office will keep this for our records.

If you would like a receipt, please include the “C” (middle) receipt portion of your tax statement with your payment and self-addressed stamped envelope and we will stamp it and return it to you.
