Thomas J. Allen, 82

Thomas J. Allen, 82, of Jasper, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

He was born in Daviess County, Indiana on March 12, 1932 to Dale and Mae (Raney) Allen. He married Delores Harder on Sept 16, 1951.

Thomas Allen was a farmer in Daviess County and retired form JOFCO where he had worked for many years. He is a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville and the Line Masonic Lodge in Jasper.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Allen; daughter, Janet Doscher and husband Kevin, of Cannelburg, Ind.; sons, Paul Allen of Jasper, Lonnie Allen and wife Carolyn, of Washington, Ind., and Terry Allen and wife Pamela, of Jasper; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; sisters,
Joyce Martin of Washington, Ind., Betty Kelley, Bloomington, Ill., Emma Harder, Washington, Ind., Lucille Arvin, Washington, Ind., Della Shelton, Rockport, Camilla Peterson, Mesa, Ariz., and Mary Lottes, Loogootee; brother, A.F. Allen of Jasper.

Preceding him in death are one grandson and one great granddaughter. Also three brothers, Robert “Bob” Allen, Junior Allen and Birtle Allen. Three sisters, Beatrice Schnarr, Leola Hornaday and Wanda Mae Schnarr also one brother and one sister died in infancy.

Funeral services for Thomas Allen will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, (September 15, 2014), in Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Daviess County.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service at church. Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate. Line Lodge F&AM will hold a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
