VUJC offers leadership skills training

Vincennes University Jasper will provide Workplace Leadership Skills training on four Fridays, September 14, 21, 28 and October 5, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The classes will provide skills to those in leadership positions the workplace to enhance their success. Topics will include basic leadership principles, theory, styles and behavior, constancy models of leadership, Field’s theory, trends in leadership, five levels of leadership, XYZ theory, constraints of leadership, leading diversity, demographics of the new workplace, decision-making process, leadership communications, strategic planning, decision making, motivation, organizational skills, group dynamics, influence and power, change and conflict, negotiations, leadership law (do’s and don’ts) and creating a positive leadership process.

The course will include lecture, hands-on, case studies, power points, and class discussion.  Fee is $250.
