Wallace Wilbur Wibbeler, age 85, of Holland, Indiana, passed away at 8:40 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.

He was born August 20, 1927 in Holland, Indiana to Rufus and Sarah Gladys (Kemper) Wibbeler.

Wallace was a graduate of Holland High School’s Class of 1945 and served with the military in the United States Army Infantry from 1946-47.

He was united in marriage to Doris Holderbaugh on July 3, 1949 in Holland at the Methodist Church Parsonage.

Wallace worked as a cabinet maker at the Holland Planing Mill for 20 years and as a kiln operator at Alcoa for 24 ½ years. He was a member of the Holland United Methodist Church and former member of the Holland Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially gardening.

He was preceded in death by: one brother, Earl Wibbeler.

Allan Wibbeler – Huntingburg, IN

-by nine grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wallace Wibbeler will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Holland United Methodist Church in Holland with burial to follow at the Holland United Methodist Church Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Holland American Legion Memorial Detail. Rev. Marianne Hawkins and Rev. Logananne McCullough will officiate the funeral service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday; and also at the Holland United Methodist Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday morning, prior to the funeral.
