Best Home Furnishings announces scholarships


Best Home Furnishings recently awarded scholarships to four dependent children of full-time employees. 

Utilizing a permanent endowment established by Best, the Dubois County Community Foundation selected winners of this academic scholarship. These four were each awarded $4,000 scholarships for a four-year degree. Those receiving scholarships include the following standout individuals.

Alyssa Foltz, daughter of Jason and Nicole Foltz (Customer Service Assistant Manager) of Dale.  She was a member of Beta Club, Riley’s Dance Marathon, and Student Council.  Alyssa plans to attend University of Southern Indiana to major in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Drew Hurst, son of Tom and Nola Hurst (Senior Accountant) of Jasper.  He was a team manager of baseball, football, and basketball.  He participated in Unified Football, FFA, JHS media production, and was on the Honor Roll.  Drew plans to attend Ball State University to major in Digital Sports Production and has been accepted to Sports Link immersive learning program.

Grant Mehringer, son of Rod (Jasper Dimension, Machine Supervisor) and Bonnie Mehringer of Jasper.  He participated in Baseball, Track, and Football.  Grant plans to attend Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis to major in Criminal Justice.

Brenna Sims, daughter of Jeff and Nicole Greenwell (Chair Division, Line Feed Department) of Tell City.   She participated in Archery and Hosa.  Brenna plans to attend Vincennes University Jasper Campus to major in Nursing.
