Charles W. “Charlie” Jasper, 76, Tell City

Charles W. “Charlie” Jasper, 76, of Tell City, passed away July 26, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Cannelton, Ind., on September 2, 1946, to Noble and Juanita Jasper.

Charlie was united in marriage to Emma Jean (Powers) at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Cannelton.

He retired as a supervisor from Schwab Safe Company, formerly in Cannelton, after 43 years.

Charlie enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Emma Jean Jasper of Tell City; son, Jason Jasper (Tara) of Huntingburg; stepchildren, Bruce House (Niaome) of Burlington, Ky., and Dana Hurt (Randall) of Henderson, Ky.; stepdaughter-in-law, Marsha House of Lewisport, Ky.; grandchildren, Brylie Jasper, Brandon House, Nathan House (Emily), Daniel House and Sarah Phillips (Derek); and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and stepson, Danny House.

Services will be private. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
