Jasper Community Arts seeking pieces for upcoming exhibit honoring Tom Schum

Jasper Community Arts is searching for original artwork by Jasper artist Tom Schum to include on display in the upcoming gallery exhibit ‘Honoring Tom Schum’ this coming January and February of 2023. The exhibit will be on display from January 5 through February 26, 2023. A Gallery Reception will take place on Sunday, January 8th, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center.   

In addition to the artwork in the gallery, Jasper Community Arts is also looking for any stories or memories of Tom to include in the exhibit. Anyone interested in loaning their original piece/s of artwork or interested in contributing any typed and/or handwritten memories to include in the exhibit should drop off their items at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center no later than Monday, December 12th, 2022. The galleries at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, located at 100 3rd Avenue, Suite A, Jasper, IN 47546, are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm. School groups, clubs, and students are welcome. Admission is free. Donations appreciated.
