Jasper High School to hold drill involving emergency services on Monday, April 29

Jasper High School will have several emergency services on scene on Monday, April 29 as the corporation conducts an indoor reunification drill.

School reunification drills are planned exercises that are carried out to prepare schools, students, first responders, and parents for the process of reuniting with their families following an emergency situation in the building.

At times, the reunification exercise will take place indoors. During an indoor reunification drill, students are evacuated from a specific area of the building and relocated to a safe location to practice relocation and become familiar with the procedures necessary for a successful reunification experience.

The drill will begin at about 9:35 a.m. and should be completed by 10:15 am. Jasper Police Department, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, Jasper Fire Department, and Dubois County Emergency Management Agency will be on campus assisting with the drill.

When driving by Jasper High School on April 29th, emergency vehicles and personnel will be visible on campus during that time.

For the duration of the drill, please avoid the Jasper High School campus.
