LeRoy George Loehr, 86, of Holland, passed away at 4:40 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

LeRoy was born February 9, 1928 near Holland, Indiana, to Herbert and Edna (Tormohlen) Loehr.  He graduated from Holland High School in 1946 and married Eleanor Weitkamp on June 16, 1948 in Zoar, Indiana.

LeRoy was a lifelong farmer and member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland.  He was a former Boy Scout Troop Leader; recipient of the 1983 Tom Wallace Farm Forestry Award; and honored with the Outstanding Soil Conservation Farmer of the Year award by the Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Loehr of Holland; one daughter, Sandra Royer of Englewood, Ohio; three sons and three daughter-in-laws, Larry and wife Molly Loehr of Naperville, Ill., Daniel and wife Jan Loehr of Holland, and David and wife Andrea Loehr of Holland; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for LeRoy Loehr will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland with burial to follow at St. James Cemetery in Holland.  Pastor David Darling will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday and also at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
